We have eaten here many times and love their chicken. Some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. Very fresh and hot. The staff is always very nice even though they are very busy as this is a popular local place.

This was our second time to eat here. The fried chicken was great then and this time it was still some of the best. This time we got the chicken tenders. They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They came with gravy for dipping. We got fried okra, mashed potatoes and coleslaw as our sides. The okra had a hot crunchie coating on the outside with soft tasty okra inside. The mashed potatoes were buttery and smooth. The gravy which was smooth and well flavored also went well with the potatoes. Finally, the coleslaw was fresh and well dressed. Our only disappointed was that they no longer had fried gizzard and livers on the menu. This is still some of the best fried chicken around. We will definitely eat here again.

I love Gill's, mostly for their really tasty fish & their outstanding chicken livers, which are a blast from past. So I was bummed to read another review that said they don't have livers/gizzards, but they do! They're just literally not on the menu-board, just ask for them.
